The Cookie Monster Invades Buehler Mayflower and Tries To Steal All of The Girl Scout Cookies!

Buehler Companies was appointed a very important task by the Girl Scouts this year. We were supposed to make sure that everyone in Colorado got the cookies on time and in good condition. When we suddenly saw this Cookie Monster in our warehouse!

He was creeping and crawling all around! I don't know how he managed to get into the warehouse, but he was obviously there for one thing!

As he began to rip open the pallets, it became apparently clear that we had a big problem on our hands. I'm sure he was in cookie heaven, but this is out of control! If we didn't do something about it, all of the Girl Scout cookies for Denver, Colorado would be gone!

He tried to make off with them by grabbing a pallet jack!

Then he even started to load all of the cookies onto a truck!

We knew we were in really big trouble when he actually got onto the forklift to grab more!

and in the end, we finally convinced him that all of the girls needed to sell these cookies and he did the right thing :)

Thanks Cookie Monster

Feel free to contact us if you have any questions at all regarding this incident.

Counting Down The Days Until Summer!

I know that’s its April and we are all counting down the days for the summer. Here we go again with another snow storm lurking in the sky. Just when we think that the sun is about to shin and the weeds are about to grow to give our allergies a flare, we get a blanket of moisture landing on our heads.

We will get through this last bit of winter together and soon the sun will shine again. Don’t put your ice scrapers away yet!

We hope that everyone stays warm while it’s cold and cool while it’s warm. Happy Spring!

Summertime Moves - If you are Moving This Summer, save some money!

We all know that the summertime is the best time to move. The kids are out of school and relocating now make the adjustment go more smoothly. The end of the month may be indicative of the end of your lease. Avoiding rain, snow and all of the elements make the timing just right.

It’s all right there, perfect timing, perfect day, perfect situation, etc… so why is it that every moving company you call is asking for a couple of weeks to accommodate you move? The answer is simple…. Everyone else who is planning to move in the world is thinking just like you.

Here are some key things that can help you with planning your successful summertime relocation:

• Get a moving quote to plan your budget

• Plan Ahead – Call a mover now to ensure that your move dates are on the schedule.

• Sign the paperwork by the mover so they know you are serious about the move.

• Start packing unnecessary items to save yourself some cold hard cash!

• Make sure you have a backup plan in case the closing on your house, lease signing and landlord problems arise (get a separate quote with storage)

• Make sure you read reviews and hire a good company. There is nothing worse than hiring a company that never shows up on the day of your move and you having to scramble to find a last minute mover.

• Inventory and photograph your valuable items so you have a good record of the items you care about most.

These are just a few of the things that you can do to plan a successful summertime relocation. Call us today for more useful tips and hints!

9News Special Half Hour Program - Moving With Quality - Museum Moves

“Moving Memories” A New Future For Colorado’s Past

Saturday, May 22, 6:30 p.m. on KUSA 9News

Tune into KUSA-NBC on Saturday, May 22 at 6:30 p.m. for a very special half hour program with 9News anchorman Gary Shapiro and photojournalist Manny Sotelo, who take you behind the scenes of the mind-boggling move of the Colorado History Museum.

It’s moving to a new building, called the History Colorado Center, one block south of its current 13th and Broadway location in Denver. But since the new museum won’t open until 2012, millions of pieces of Colorado history must be moved to warehouses in the interim. Each piece was hand packed into boxes and crates with extreme care. Everything from ancient Native American pottery to President Eisenhower’s military uniform.

The History Colorado Center will provide a place where learning about our past can help us imagine our future, and will feature more exhibit space, more educational programs and more chances for visitors to learn the stories of the people who shaped this state. Segments of
“Moving Memories" will be repeated on 9News 6 a.m. broadcast May 25-28. On Friday, May 28, Ed Nichols, President and CEO of History Colorado, will sit down with Gary Shapiro live at 7:30 a.m. and discuss the move both physically and ideologically from Colorado History Museum to the History Colorado Center and what it means for Coloradans.

We would like to thank all of the crews, Greg Gatlin and Jeff Moshea for all of their hard work, dedication and quality control toward making this move successful. The team at Buehler Companies has done an amazing job at making this painstaking move look effortless. We are proud to have all of you on our relocation team!

Colorado Supreme Court, Court of Appeals move into temporary digs while new justice center under construction

By Felisa Cardona The Denver Post

The Supreme Court and the Colorado Court of Appeals are now in session after moving a few blocks to The Denver Post building over the weekend and Monday.
The courts' move began Friday from 2 E. 14th Avenue as work begins on the Ralph L. Carr Colorado Judicial Complex.

The move was completed without any problems, and the courts are open for business, said Rob McCallum, spokesman for the Colorado Judicial Branch.

"Over the course of the weekend, we got everything on the eighth floor, and people are still unpacking today," he said. "Everything was very smooth, and there were a lot of smiles from the judges, and they will be taking the bench in short order."

The courtroom is on the ground floor of The Post building at 101 W. Colfax Ave. and seats 35 people. The secured entrance is off Broadway near Cheyenne Place.

The Supreme Court library also is located on the ground floor, and the public can enter through the main lobby.

Clerks' offices are on the eighth floor of the building.
The Colorado Court of Appeals is set to hear oral arguments on April 27.

McCallum said the new courtroom may only seat 35 people but if there is a case in which a larger crowd is anticipated, court staff may decide to hold the session in a room at the Colorado State Capitol.

The judges and justices will hear cases in the building until the new judicial complex opens in 2013.

The Whole Company is Customer Service.

If you are a billing clerk or you are a receptionist.... whatever it is that you do, if you have any contact with a customer then you are now customer service. Not only are you now customer service, but you are now sales. Why is it important to the company that you know this?

Well it may not be in your job description to actually do customer service, but it is an obligation to your job. If you do not provide key customer service even when someone accidentally transfers a customer to your phone, then you are simply not earning the money you are being paid.

Why this topic? Because it matters, that's why. If a customer is transferred 3 times before someone can help them, then it's not a small problem... it suddenly become a company wide problem. Customers are our industry and they come first and without our customers we are nothing.

We are all customer service.

If someone calls and they need help, get them to the right place even if you have to run around the office asking people questions in order to figure out what the right place is. We value our customers and when we show them that we value them, they feel as important as they are.

And that matters! Keep Keeping Em Happy!

Do you know how to blog?

We have been talking about blogging today and Scott and I have determined that there are probably a lot of people that don't know how to do it. It's interesting that this whole new world of technology has opened the worlds eyes to not only new connections within the corporate world, but also connections with long lost family and friends.

Some people are afraid to jump into this new technology world for a lack of understanding of how simple it really is. Do you have a personal blog? Does your company have a corporate blog? If so, do you really think that it will allow you to reach out to the world and actually make a new connection that you probably wouldn't have had otherwise? I personally think so.

After nine years a personal friend of mine actually found me on Facebook. I probably would have lost her forever without this new world that allows you to search for people. Some people that you don't necessarily want to find you may find you. How can you balance these things? It's an interesting topic of conversation and some of these past relationships weather personal or business related can truly open your eyes to how small the world actually is.

As I sit here and ponder these things I wonder if the whole world blogged, would we all find each other and get to know each other on a more personal level? Could this actually help to improve not only our personal lives, but our businesses as well? I think that if we could all work closer together then perhaps we can better learn how not to compete, but instead...share in opportunities. Would it allow the world to thrive if we all actually understood each other? It's a small world after all. There are likely some long lost friends out there for all of us.

This is Joy at Buehler Moving, Have a great weekend!
