Quality Moving Labor Certificateion Criteria

Certification at production level is the heart of the Quality Labor Program. These are the people who will formulate our customer’s opinions of Mayflower Transit and influence their decision to use Mayflower again. Certification at the production level will be the completion of a challenging, realistic program that will put participants at a minimum qualification level where they can be identified as professionals.

Certification at the production level is as follow:
Completion of all modules in either the Packer or Mover Certification
Approximately 30 hours of classroom training
200 hours of field supervision
Check off in all skill areas in both the classroom and in the field
Pass Orientation Review
Pass Final Certification Review
Ability to meet minimum literacy requirement:
It is impossible to read warning labels, label cartons or fill out an inventory if a person is illiterate.
Illiteracy doesn’t mean a person can’t work, they just can’t be certified.

Classroom training to be completed within a six week time period.
Field training to be completed no sooner than 60 days, but no longer than 6 months, after classroom training.


Full time personnel – 100% - Only full time trained personnel will be deployed on the regular move crews.

Part time personnel – There will be no certified part time personnel required for this relocation.

Colorado Supreme Court, Court of Appeals move into temporary digs while new justice center under construction

The Supreme Court and the Colorado Court of Appeals are now in session after moving a few blocks to The Denver Post building over the weekend and Monday.
The courts' move began Friday from 2 E. 14th Avenue as work begins on the Ralph L. Carr Colorado Judicial Complex.

The move was completed without any problems, and the courts are open for business, said Rob McCallum, spokesman for the Colorado Judicial Branch.

"Over the course of the weekend, we got everything on the eighth floor, and people are still unpacking today," he said. "Everything was very smooth, and there were a lot of smiles from the judges, and they will be taking the bench in short order."

The courtroom is on the ground floor of The Post building at 101 W. Colfax Ave. and seats 35 people. The secured entrance is off Broadway near Cheyenne Place.

The Supreme Court library also is located on the ground floor, and the public can enter through the main lobby.

Clerks' offices are on the eighth floor of the building.
The Colorado Court of Appeals is set to hear oral arguments on April 27.

McCallum said the new courtroom may only seat 35 people but if there is a case in which a larger crowd is anticipated, court staff may decide to hold the session in a room at the Colorado State Capitol.

The judges and justices will hear cases in the building until the new judicial complex opens in 2013.
