Moving is stressful enough! What is the New Years Resolution for your Customer Service Team?

Moving your home can sometimes be overwhelming. We all know that it’s not easy. There is always so much to do and the list of things to remember grows the more that you think about it.

We understand that this can be a very trying time. It’s already enough of a change in your life to start in a new home or a new job. You already have a lot on your plate and on your mind.

This is why Buehler Companies provides each and every customer with a personal moving coordinator. Our moving coordinators are trained to be there with you every step of the way.

I asked Vicky Rondinelli, the Customer Service Manager here at Buehler Companies what her secret was. Customers seem to feel at ease when she talks to them. She has this understanding of the moving process and her soft approach makes moving seem so easy.

She indicated to me that it’s not just about customer service, but really understanding that the customer is going through a major change in life. It’s not just moving, it’s everything from a new job to a new city to a new home, etc… and that can be stressful!

She said that one of the first things that you have to remember is that these are people. They are humans who are going through enough as it is and moving is only a small part of that. 

Vicky then went on to tell me that one of the biggest things that we can do to help people is to simply make sure that their move goes as smooth as possible and that our customers feel supported along the way.

This made me think a lot because she is right. Sometimes we get stuck in the flow of work and our daily activities and it’s not hard to become numb to the simple things. 

So we have decided, that here at Buehler Companies we are going to make a New Years Resolution!

In an attempt to open our minds more in this company, we are going to take the extra time to stop and remember that these are our people and that we are going to do more to ensure that they feel like a part of our family during this complicated and stressful time.

Some of the goals that the customer service department gathered up are really great. We all look forward to the New Year and working even harder to ensure that we are the best moving company in the world.

2014 Team Goals

• Listen more! We decided that we are going to shut our mouths and let you talk! Sometimes in customer service we forget that our customers just need someone to listen to them.
• Gather more feedback! We just started a new review program to push for additional reviews on our company. We want to be the best moving company in the world. Where do we start? By listening to what our customers have to say! Our crews are now handing our review cards to each and every customer so that we can gather feedback to improve who we are. We want to know! Review us today!
• More classes! Not moving, packing and classes on how to manage a major project. We are talking about classes on customer service and phone skills.
• Taking a bigger step in pride! That’s right, we are already proud of what we do here at Buehler Companies, but we want to do more! Pride plays a key factor in success. We appreciate our customer service team and want to show them so that they know that we see the determination and pride that they put into their work each and every day.
• Extra credit! We are now handing out gift cards to the crews that get an “honorable” mention from a customer! So let us know if you had exceptional service and mention a crew members name so they can get rewarded for outstanding service!
